Nashville man found in Wilson County with a stolen Mazda B2000; says it was lent to him by “Andy”

27-year-old Ryan Adams was charged with theft of property greater than $1000 when a license plate reader positively identified a stolen vehicle and he was questioned by an officer outside of Speedway.

On September 5th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Scott Troutman received a report that a license plate reader found a positive match for a stolen vehicle near Saundersville Road and Nonaville Road. He observed the vehicle parked beside Speedway located at 12115 Lebanon Road. After staking out the vehicle, the officer witnessed a man exit the building and unlock the truck.

Officer Troutman approached the driver for questioning, and he identified himself as Ryan Adams. He stated that the vehicle had been lent to him by someone he only knew as “Andy.” The 2002 Mazda B2000 truck had been registered as stolen on September 2nd and was valued at greater than $1,000.

Ryan Adams was arrested and charged with theft of property greater than $1000. He is jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
