Police had already been by the home earlier that day looking for Jalyn, so Marisa was trying to keep her at the house to speak with the authorities. At this point, Jalyn put the car in drive, and the door hit Marisa causing her to be thrown against the vehicle. Two witnesses confirmed Marisa’s version of events and agreed that Jalyn’s act was intentional. She was then taken into custody without further incident.

Jalyn Miller was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $3,500.
