46-year-old Stephanie Vaughan was charged with theft and public intoxication after being unable to pay her $5 bar tab at The Row Nashville.

On September 15th, Metro Nashville Police found Stephanie Vaughan sitting outside The Row Nashville with manager Michael Hill. The manager, along with server Madeline Bell, stated that Vaughan had ordered a beer and found out that her card was declined. When officers asked Vaughan if she was able to pay for her $5 bar tab, Vaughan stated “no”. While speaking with Vaughan, officers noted that her speech was slurred, she smelled like an alcoholic beverage, and she was slumped over in a chair.

Vaughan said that she had not taken any drugs, only alcohol. Vaughan stated that she did not know what day it was, what year it was, or who the president was. Officers were unable to issue a citation because it was determined that she was so intoxicated that she was unable to care for her own safety and was a danger to herself.

Stephanie Vaughan was arrested and charged with public intoxication and theft. She was later freed on pre-trial release.
