Men fail to steal change from laundromat

39-year-old Raul Lugo and 52-year-old Clinton Anderson were charged with attempted theft of property and vandalism after trying to break into the coin machine at a Jumbo 24 hour Coin Laundry.

On October 21st, Metro Nashville Police Officers were dispatched to the Jumbo 24 Hour Coin Laundry at 2511 Lebanon Pike in response to a break-in. The business owner stated that both Raul Lugo and Clinton Anderson were breaking into the coin machine.

After they watched the security footage, officers saw Lugo and Anderson walking around the machine. Later Lugo began to damage the machine with a metal bar in an attempt to steal the coins inside. Anderson admitted to being a lookout for him during the incident.

Clinton Anderson and Raul Lugo were arrested and charged with attempted theft of property valued at $1,000 or less, and vandalism valued less than $2,500. Each is currently jailed in lieu of a $6,500 bond.
