32-year-old Tia Idehen was charged with aggravated assault after she attempted to hit her boyfriend with a rock during an argument. Police reported that she is known to have a history of mental illness that causes her to be violent.
On September 25th, Metro Nashville police officers spoke to witnesses who saw Zarian Brent and Tia Idehen fighting on Lynn Drive. One witness noticed that the two were arguing and that Brent attempted to escape while Idehen persisted.
Brent tripped and pushed, Idehen to get away from her. Idehen was seen picking up a rock and trying to hit Brent, starting a fight that, according to the affidavit, Brent clearly won. Officers also stated that Idehen is known to them to have the mental illness of psychosis and a history of violent behavior.
Tia Idehen was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $20,000. bond.
