Florida Tourist Richard Willis drunkenly refuses to leave Embassy Suites

56-year-old Florida tourist Richard Scott Willis refused to leave Embassy Suites on Demonbreun on February 19th. Security for the hotel flagged officers down, and they went into the 7th Avenue entrance. Officers observed Willis talking to the witnesses, the manager, and other security personnel. Hotel staff advised officers that Willis was asked to leave due to his behavior and was escorted out. Hotel Staff then explained that Willis returned shortly after, which was when they alerted the authorities. Officers observed Willis showing signs of impairment, and he was taken into custody for criminal trespass and public intoxication.

Richard Scott Willis of Edgewood Drive in Navarre, FL, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 19th, charged with criminal trespass and public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $350, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
