48-year-old Elias Johnson followed a female in his silver Ford Fusion from the bank she worked at to the Goodlettsville Fire Department on Long Hollow Pike around 12:33 p.m. on April 3rd. When she got to the fire station, she alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, she told them that Johnson had come in to open an account. After Johnson had finished, he stayed in the lobby, changed his clothes, and followed her as she left. Officers located him in the parking lot at the Fire Department, sitting in the driver’s seat of his Ford Fusion with the engine running. Officers asked him what he was doing, and he stated he was “making gold.” Which consisted of rolling balls of mud and smashing them into the dash. A records check revealed Johnson had a suspended license. During their investigation, he started sweating profusely and making odd statements, appearing to be on some narcotic. Officers asked Johnson to exit the car for sobriety tests, and he performed poorly. During a subsequent search of his vehicle, they discovered several prescription medications that stated: “May cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery.” As well as an RFID writer device commonly used to scan and clone RFID bank cards. Johnson was taken into custody for driving while license suspended and driving under the influence.
