Francis Lytton strangles son when he won’t pull up his pants for school, per report (Angel Sims)

56-year-old Francis Lytton, who also goes by the name Angel Sims, told MNPD Sgt. Gray that her juvenile son, who called 911 for strangling him, was lying about the assault. MNPD Officer Cushman and another officer spoke with the son first when they arrived and found him being treated by NFD EMS. He told police that he was waiting on his brother’s shoes earlier that Tuesday morning to get ready for school. The shoes never arrived, and Francis told the son repeatedly to get ready for school and to pull up his pants. When he refused to pull his pants up, he said that is when Francis hit him with her purse and reached for his neck to strangle him. EMS transported him to Vanderbilt Hospital after police observed his neck and collarbone injuries. The officers attempted to ask Francis about the incident, but she refused to tell them anything. They called MNPD Sgt. Gray, whom she spoke with on the phone. Francis said the son was slow getting ready for school, would not pull up his pants, and was disrespectful. She also said he was lying about her strangling him, for he sustained those injuries after leaving the residence.
