John Bowman tells police he “was not drunk” after causing accident on I-24

28-year-old John Bowman had a single-vehicle accident on I-24 East exit 57B in the early morning hours of February 28th. While officers were gathering information, they noticed he reeked of alcohol. Bowman told them he was not drunk without being prompted. He then told them he only had one drink, adding that it was an hour and a half before the crash. After he was transported to Southern Hills, he took sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a blood sample after being informed about implied consent. He was then cited for the incident. Bowman was booked on a citation for driving under the influence on March 26th.
