18-year-old Keydarius Thomas pulls gun on man multiple times during road rage incident

18-year-old Keydarius Thomas was taken into custody for aggravated assault on March 5th. On January 5th, officers were dispatched to the Kroger on Gallatin Pike South to speak with Richard Bridges. Bridges advised officers that Thomas approached him during a road rage incident and pulled a gun on him. Bridges further explained that the encounter happened near Ellington Parkway and Briarville Road, stating that he accidentally cut in front of Thomas. This prompted Thomas to follow Bridges to the next intersection and start an argument as he drove beside Bridges. During this, Thomas exited his vehicle and reportedly aimed a black handgun at Bridges before driving off. Bridges followed Thomas, and Thomas produced his firearm a second time. Thomas stopped at Kroger and fled after letting his two passengers out, whom Bridges approached to question about the incident. When investigators spoke with one of the passengers, he stated he did not know Thomas would “do that.” A witness said he saw Thomas hold a machete out of his window at the intersection but would not verify Thomas’ information for police. Officers conducted a photo lineup, and Bridges positively identified Thomas. Keydarius Thomas was taken into custody for aggravated assault on March 5th.
