Man attempts to steal cases of Bud Light from his neighborhood Kroger, where he’s known

Goodlettsville Police have taken Alex Maupin into custody after they say he walked into the Kroger a few blocks from his home and attempted to walk out with three 24-packs of Bud Light & a case of water.

Goodlettsville PD reports the incident occurred on July 3rd at 3:43 p.m., when Maupin first entered their store, as observed on security video. He selected three 24-packs of Bud Light beer and a case of water. Alex Maupin then made his way t the front of the store and went past the last point of sale, toward the outer doors, where he was confronted by Kroger loss prevention, who was able to recover the property. During the recovery, Maupin fled to his home, which is just behind the Kroger store.

The value of the items was $69.46. A warrant was issued for Maupin on July 6th and served on him at approximately 1 a.m. Friday morning. Maupin was booked into the Metro jail, charged with theft, and is free on pre-trial release.
