26-year-old Kenya Mayal was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct when officers were called to a fight and despite being released she was too impaired to simmer down and be taken home.

On April 1st, officers were called to 305 Millwood Drive in regard to a fight. Upon arrival officers noted the situation to be a domestic dispute between Kenya Mayal and her cousin. According to affidavits, both individuals were intoxicated, no injuries were visible and neither would tell police what happened so it was not possible to determine the aggressor. After being released to their respective families Mayal resumed causing a ruckus.

Her mother and boyfriend attempted to take her home and she proceeded to beat on the windows of the vehicle, prompting them to tell officers they did not feel prepared to care for her. At that point, she exited the vehicle, still acting out, causing passersby to be disturbed. Because of the severity of her behavior, her level of impairment and their inability to get her home officers determined the only safe option was to physically arrest Mayal.

Kenya Mayal was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. She was later freed on pre-trial release.
