44-year-old Terry Hackett was charged with theft of a vehicle when he was found sleeping in a stolen vehicle at Hampton Inn & Suites.
On August 23rd, an MNPD officer stopped at 2330 Elliston Place, Hampton Inn & Suites. When the officer arrived, the front desk clerk told the officer there was a man asleep in a 2007 Toyota Sienna and asked him to investigate.
When the officer knocked on the window, Terry Hackett woke up. The officer ran the tag of the vehicle and it came back as stolen.
Terry Hackett was arrested and charged with theft of a vehicle. His bond was set at $5,000.
