31-year-old Lewis Brown was charged with domestic assault and vandalism after he caused $1,000 worth of damage to his girlfriend’s house because he thought she was cheating on him.
On June 16th, officers arrived at 410 Neill Avenue in response to a domestic violence call. Aquanya Driver spoke with police there and told them that before she returned home from work her partner, Lewis Brown, smashed several of her belongings with the belief that she was cheating on him. He destroyed her microwave, closet door, a jewelry box, a television, mirror, three paintings, and he put multiple holes in the wall.
When Driver did return home and found Brown there, they got into an argument and in the midst of it, Brown pushed her to the ground. He left afterward in her vehicle and was not present when police arrived.
On August 20th, Lewis Brown was arrested and charged with vandalism and domestic assault. His bond was set at $7,000.
