Woman charged 2 years later for assaulting her ex with a picture frame

29-year-old Treasha Cockrell was charged with domestic assault after she broke a picture frame over her boyfriend’s head and threatened his life when he returned the next day to retrieve some of his belongings.

On June 11th, 2018, William Patton and Treasha Crockrell were in a verbal argument about Patton leaving the residence. Patton told police she stated he could not leave and that he “was not going anywhere.” He advised police the altercation escalated when he attempted to leave the residence and she grabbed him by the arm, slamming him against the wall, saying, “I said you’re not going anywhere.” When Patton attempted to leave a third time, Cockrell grabbed a picture frame and smashed it over the top of his head, causing soreness and pain in his shoulder. Patton said he left the residence immediately and called the police.

On June 12th, 2018, William Patton returned to the residence at 464 Roger Williams Avenue to retrieve some of his clothing. He stated he had been living there for a year and a half before moving out due to recent events. When Patton arrived, Treasha refused to let him inside. She said, “If you step on my property, I will fucking stab you.” Patton reported this made him fear bodily injury due to previous incidents where she actually grabbed a knife and threatened him.

On September 22nd, 2020, Treasha Cockrell was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault. Her bond was set at $3,500.
