The two began to argue after Cecilia showed up two hours late to pick up her daughter from work. According to the affidavit, Cecilia attacked her daughter by grabbing her necklace and bringing her to the ground. The juvenile victim had several scratches and lacerations to her neck. She was then taken to Vanderbilt Pediatrics for neck pain. Cecilia refused to talk with officers and she was taken into custody due to statements made by the parties involved and the visible injuries of her daughter.
