36-year-old Pamela Thomas was charged with DUI after a witness told officers she fell asleep in a drive-thru, woke up, and almost wrecked into a building.
On October 27th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a report of an intoxicated driver at 501 Donelson Pike. A witness described the driver was in a yellow Ford Mustang and fell asleep in the Bar-B-Cutie drive-thru multiple times. According to the affidavit, the driver was also said to have almost hit a building after she woke up.
Officers came in contact with Pamela Thomas, who was inside of an ambulance, and spoke with officers after she refused medical care. She seemed confused, had small pupils, and could not speak properly. She was asked to do sobriety exercises and performed poorly. Pamela claimed she took prescribed alprazolam and her blood was tested.
Pamela Thomas was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was later freed on pre-trial release.
