Man reportedly fires single shot at his mother’s boyfriend; charged with 3 counts of assault

31-year-old Christopher Nease was charged with three counts of aggravated assault after he reportedly fired a bullet at his mother’s boyfriend and their two neighbors.

On May 26th, Metro Nashville Police officers responded to a report of shots fired at 108 Bonnabrook Drive. When officers arrived they made contact with Michael Trestain who stated he and Christopher Nease’s mom were arguing when she called her son. Trestain told officers that Nease said over the phone that he was going to come and shoot him and the neighbors.

Trestain stated he proceeded to walk to the neighbor’s residence and began to speak with them, when Nease pulled up in a gold Chevrolet Silverado. Trestain reported Nease rolled down the passenger window, and fired a round at himself, William Burns, and Sarah Willoughby. Officers noted they were unable to locate any bullet holes or casings, but did view video footage of the truck driving by, slowing down,then leaving the scene.

On November 16th, Christopher Nease was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was later released on a $45,000 bond.
