36-year-old Angela Floyd was charged with domestic assault and fugitive from justice after her ex’s current wife reported an unknown male showed up at their door and Angela sprang from her hiding place and attempted to take her child.
On July 22nd, Metro Nashville Police officers were sent to 1010 Thompson Place, apartment F15, for a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they made contact with Jennifer Alpirez who explained she was married to Jaime Alpirez, and they had custody of children from Jaime’s previous relationship with Angela Floyd. Angela reportedly came to the location unannounced with an unknown male posing as her lawyer.
Jennifer reported the unknown male knocked first, and Floyd was hidden out of sight when she opened the door. The male was speaking to Jennifer about court dates when Angela appeared, demanding to see her kids. Jennifer told her to leave because she was not going to let Angela see her kids. She told officers she suspected Angela was impaired with alcohol or drugs, given their history. Jennifer claimed when she asked for her to leave, Angela grabbed the child, who was standing behind Jennifer’s right leg, and pulled her, stating “I want to see my kids.” Jennifer said she grabbed the child by the shoulder and pulled her back before Angela could take her. Angela then fled the scene.
It was later revealed Angela was a fugitive from justice and had a vehicular homicide warrant in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A hit confirmation was sent to authorities in Colorado, who confirmed they would extradite Angela from Nashville.
On December 7th, Angela Floyd was arrested and charged with domestic assault and fugitive from justice. She was found guilty of domestic assault and sentenced with time served. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
