25-year-old Kyle Bassett was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was stuck on the railroad tracks on Church Street in downtown Nashville just after 3 a.m. Saturday. He admitted to drinking “some beers” at a bar in downtown Nashville, along with his female passenger, who was the registered owner of the car. Bassett was reportedly confused about where he was and how the vehicle became stuck on the tracks. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He later claimed that the passenger drove the vehicle to the tracks and then swapped places, but she would not answer any questions and remained silent. Bassett and the passenger were taken into custody and charged with DUI-related charges.
