31-year-old Lauren Holley was involved in a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Rex Smith, at their Trails End Lane residence on April 26th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Kenneth Holley, Laurens’s brother. Kenneth stated that Lauren had a drinking problem and was requested to come by the house by Rex to help calm her down. Kenneth and Rex stated to officers that they had seen Lauren fall down a flight of steps due to her level of intoxication. Rex had then claimed he was attempting to change His and Laurens’ baby’s diaper when Lauren tried to pick up the child. Rex told officers he did not want Lauren to hold the baby because she was intoxicated. Rex then claimed when he tried to stop Lauren, she began punching him in the face, leaving bruises. Rex stated that Kenneth was outside, so he called for his help. Rex then began attempting to grab and restrain Lauren, which he failed. Rex then spoke with officers again, claiming that Lauren had grabbed him, causing both of them to fall. Rex added that after they fell, Kenneth had come inside to separate him and Lauren. Rex also stated that as he and Lauren fell, her shirt got caught on the door, ripping it. Then, Kenneth spoke to officers, stating that he was outside during the altercation and heard a commotion, prompting him to enter. Kenneth then said he observed Rex and Lauren wrestling on the ground before he intervened. While officers were investigating, Lauren became upset, screaming she was going to kill Smith. While in custody, Lauren slipped her handcuffs and began scratching officers. Lauren was taken into custody for domestic assault and assault on an officer on April 27th.
