Lundon Meyers threatens to take on four MNPD Officers… just before he is tased

27-year-old Alabama man Lundon Meyers waved a knife around outside a Super 8 motel while telling cops, “I’ll f*/king end your ass immediately,” before he was tased and placed into custody for assault. Around 7 pm on July 27th, MNPD Officers Bowler and Klemenz arrived at a Super 8 motel regarding a disorderly man. Motel staff told the officers that they observed Lundon outside yelling, waving around a knife in the air with one hand and a bottle of brown liquor in the other. They also said that Lundon was breaking items inside his motel room and wanted him removed for their safety.

When the officers made contact with Lundon they described him as visibly intoxicated and smelling strongly of alcohol. They spoke to Lundon at his motel room, 215, and he was aggressive, advancing on the officers where they had to push him back several times, and threatening the officers. Officer Klemenz pulled out his Taser and warned him to back up. He said to them, “I’ll f*/king end your ass immediately,” and “Do you think that immediately when you disarm, that I will not take on four of you together?” Lundon also raised his hands and kept pushing Officer Bowler’s hands away as he advanced. When he tried to retreat into his room, Officer Klemenz fired the Taser and it struck Lundon, but not before the door closed and locked. Moments later Lundon opened the door and was placed into custody.
