Nashville police say this man is wanted for the shooting of a 42-year-old youth football coach in Antioch.
The coach is recovering from two bullet wounds to his right leg after being shot Saturday night at Antioch High School during an altercation with a man who was there supporting the opposing team of a youth football jamboree.
The gunman, described as a black man in his mid-30s with tattoos on his cheek and forehead, fled in a vehicle after the gunfire and is at large.
The investigation shows that the coach had broken up a fight between players from his team and the opposing squad. The coach said that a man approached him angry over the way he had intervened in the fight. That man asked the coach to meet him under the bleachers. Once there, the coach said the man pulled a pistol and began shooting.
South Precinct detectives are continuing in their efforts to confirm the identity of the shooter, whose photo was taken by a surveillance camera. Anyone recognizing the man is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
