TSU Police say man admits to assaulting girlfriend, stealing her iPhone X

TSU Police say Devonta Vinson, 23, admitted to stealing his girlfriend’s iPhone X after assaulting her in March. He was booked Monday, charged with domestic assault and theft.

Tennessee State University Police say that 23-year-old Devonta M. Vinson was in an argument with his girlfriend at an apartment on West Heiman Street when he pushed her in the face, grabbed her by the collar of her jacket, and threw her to the ground. He then took her iPhone X and fled the scene. Police made contact with Vinson but he refused to meet, so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Vinson was booked into custody on Wednesday, July 17th, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury and theft of property. He is free on a $3,000 bond.
