48-year-old Christopher Charles Knapp was found passed out in a chair just outside a Music City Center shop, where police say he had earlier taken alcohol from a cold display case.
Metro Police responded located the 48-year-old tourist from Boyne City, MI, passed out in a chair at the Music City Center on September 12th, and after be became alert he was described as smelling strongly of alcohol, with slurred speech and ‘near-complete incoherence’ when speaking with officers. In addition to being drunk in public, police learned that before he passed out in the chair he came into the nearby convenience shop and took alcohol from their cold display case, and drank it.
Christopher Charles Knapp was charged with public intoxication and theft of merchandise. He was booked into the Metro Jail, and released on pre-trial release, with an October court date.
