37-year-old Joshua Reid was charged with vandalism after he was found sleeping in a bed after breaking down a door to gain entry into the location.
On March 14th, police were dispatched to Southgate Avenue in reference to a subject breaking down a door. Upon arrival, police witnessed extensive damage to the door and window. The door, frame, and electric lock were all damaged and the cost was estimated to be $1,250. Police found Joshua Reid asleep in a bed inside the location.
James Shell, the property owner, showed police camera footage that revealed Joshua breaking down the door. The property was rented by Andrew Thayer, who stated that he and Joshua were downtown earlier but Joshua took a cab back by himself. Joshua was Mirandized and admitted to breaking the door.
Joshua Reid was arrested and charged with vandalism. His bond was set at $3,500.
