18-year-old Kennedy Smith was charged with assault with a deadly weapon when, in response to him hitting her in her face, she attempted to plow her minor boyfriend down with her vehicle before ultimately ramming it into a building.
On May 9th, according to an affidavit, Kennedy Smith was in an argument with her boyfriend when he struck her in the face and exited her vehicle. While getting out, he dropped his cellular device and she put the vehicle in reverse in an attempt to hit him with the passenger door.
A witness advised Smith again struck her minor boyfriend with the vehicle before ramming it into the building located at 604 South 5th Street. Officers also noted Smith admitted trying to run over her boyfriend with the vehicle in response to him striking her in the face.
Kennedy Smith was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $10,000.
