Homeless man strangles woman who lives with him in his car until she blacks out twice

34-year-old Matthew Fox was charged with two counts of aggravated assault by strangulation after getting upset with his homeless roommate and strangling her until she passed out twice.

On June 9th, Julie Burch told police that she was the victim of being strangled by the defendant, Matthew Fox, a homeless man she lives with inside his car. She stated that they got into an argument because he could not find his debit card and he suspected her to have stolen it. He grabbed her by the arm and then wrapped his hands around her throat and strangled her until she passed out, she said and when she woke up Fox had found his card.

On June 10th, she told police that Fox told her that he wanted to go see another female and she said that she did not want to go. After telling him to pull over and reaching for the key, he is upset, he pulled over, pulled out the key, and began to strangle her once more until she passed out. Police stated that they noticed bruising and scratches on her neck.

Matthew Fox was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault by strangulation. His bond was set at $50,000.
