Teen wrecks car, police find 8.8 grams of cocaine and a Glock 19

18-year-old Irwinn Rangel was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent and possession of a weapon during a felony after wrecking his car and police found 8.8 grams of crack cocaine, a loaded Glock 19, and magazines inside a backpack in the car.

On June 9th, police responded to a vehicle crash that involved the defendant, Irwinn Rengal, who was transported to the hospital. Inside Rengal’s vehicle, police conducted a routine inventory search and found a backpack containing approximately 8.8 grams of field-tested positive crack cocaine.

Also, police found sandwich bags commonly used in the selling of illegal drugs, and a loaded handgun magazine inside the backpack. Outside the vehicle, under some grass on an embankment next to the vehicle police found a loaded Glock 19 with an extended magazine as well as an extra magazine.

Irwinn Rangel was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm with intent and possession of crack cocaine. His bond was set at $15,000.
