27-year-old Jonathan Ervin was charged with theft after he admitted he was the same “Curtis” who stole the car he was sitting in which had no ignition console.
On September 1st, Metro Nashville Police responded to 5621 Franklin Pike in regards to a person unconscious inside of a vehicle. The person inside was later identified as Jonathan Curtis Ervin, and upon peering into the vehicle authorities noticed that the ignition console was missing.
A check of the vehicle’s tag revealed it as stolen by an individual named “Curtis.” When questioned where Ervin obtained the vehicle, he responded from a friend named “Julie” which coincidentally was the name of the person who reported the vehicle stolen. Ervin was asked if he also went by the name “Curtis,” and he said yes. Ervin was then taken into custody.
Jonathan Curtis Ervin was arrested and charged with theft over $2,500. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
