27-year-old Lamonteisha Johnson was charged with three counts of theft after she was caught on video stealing over $2,700 worth of merchandise from the same Gucci store three times within a five-month period.
On February 16th, Lamonteisha Johnson was seen on in-store security cameras inside the Gucci store located at 2126 Abbott Martin Road taking a pair of shoes valued at $670 and hiding them in her bag before she left the store. She was also identified from a photo taken of her during the same visit. According to the affidavit, it was reported that Lamonteisha was a “chronic shoplifter” and was familiar with several businesses in the mall.
On February 29th, Lamonteisha was again seen on in-store cameras of the same Gucci store taking a shirt valued at $1,500 and hiding it in her bag. Photos were given to Metro Nashville Police along with a statement identifying her by name.
On July 21st, Lamonteisha was seen on in-store security cameras for a third time, taking a $535 pair of sunglasses. The footage taken from security cameras shows Lamonteisha and an unidentified female walking through the store removing security tags from the two items, hiding them in her bag, and then leaving the store without paying for the merchandise.
On September 25th, Lamonteisha Johnson was arrested and charged with three counts of theft of merchandise. Her bond was set at $4,500.
