22-year-old Barrett Hemminger was booked on a warrant charging him with harassment this week after his ex-girlfriend says he continued to call and message her, despite repeated requests to stop, even after she blocked his number.
The 22-year-old car-detailing business owner was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on 07/21 for the warrant which was signed on June 17th. His ex-girlfriend, Sarah Mitchell, called the police to report she was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend, Barrett Hemminger. She says they dated for four months before she broke up with him in May, and since then he’s been calling her repeatedly, despite asking him to stop.
According to court records, officers observed 22 rejected calls from his number on the victim’s phone from the same day during a three-hour period. She says she found the calls “very annoying”. After she blocked his number, he then began to message her on social media, and then, later on, received calls from a private number, and when she answered, she identified his voice as the person calling.
A warrant was issued for his arrest, charging him with harassment. He was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail during a court appearance last week and served with the warrant. He is free on pre-trial release.
