Downtown Nashville has claimed another arrest in our #bspotter / #VisitMusicCity series documenting the public intoxication arrests in the city’s core which thrives on the sale of alcohol. 22-year-old Kennedy Thompson was found near the Hilton Garden Inn on KVB jumping out into the roadway and being belligerent, according to an arrest report. Police attempted to divert him to medical care, but he refused all services, resulting in an arrest for public intoxication and resisting arrest, as he pulled away when they took him into custody. Thompson is free on pre-trial release.

| OFFICERS WERE DISPATCHED TO 305 KOREAN VETERANS BLVD (NEAR THE HILTON GARDEN INN) ON THE DEFENDANT JUMPING INTO THE ROADWAY AND BEING BELLIGERENT. UPON ARRIVAL, OFFICERS MADE CONTACT WITH THE DEFENDANT AND THE DEFENDANT WAS UNSTEADY ON HIS FEET AND AN OBVIOUS ODOR OF ALCOHOL BEVERAGE FROM HIS PERSON. OFFICERS ASKED THE DEFENDANT IF HE NEEDED MEDICAL ATTENTION, THE DEFENDANT REFUSED. OFFICERS ATTEMPTED TO PLACE THE DEFENDANT IN CUSTODY AND THE DEFENDANT PULLED AWAY, RESISTING ARREST. OFFICERS PLACE THE DEFENDANT IN CUSTODY WITHOUT INCIDENT FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION DUE TO THE DEFENDANT BEING A DANGER TO HIMSELF AND OTHERS. |
