27-year-old Shonda Reid was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday, charged with the domestic assault of her husband after she punched him in the face. Her husband, Zeico Reid, reportedly came home after sleeping at a friend’s house overnight to pick up some clothing. When he entered the apartment, Shonda became irate and they argued. As Zeico attempted to grab some clothes to leave again Shonda punched him in the face with a closed fist, leaving a visible injury. She is free on a $1,000 bond.

| The victim and the defendant are married, live together and have one child together. The victim stated he came home after sleeping at a friend’s home to pick up some clothes. When he entered the apartment, the defendant started yelling at him and they had an argument. The victim stated he then went to the bedroom to grab some clothes and attempted to leave the home. The victim stated when he tried to leave the apartment the defendant hit the victim with a closed fist in the right side of his face. The victim had a red mark on the right side of his face. Based on both statements and the visible injury of the victim, officers determined the defendant to be the primary aggressor. |
