DUI: 19-year-old Alec Jacobs found unconscious in his vehicle after drinking 1 White Claw

19-year-old Alec Michael Jacobs blocked a lane of travel lane near Old Hickory Boulevard and Health Park Drive early January 1st. Jacobs drove off the right side of the roadway, over the curb. Officers observed this and noticed the keys in the ignition while the car was still in “drive.” Jacobs was unconscious, drooling in the driver’s seat, with an opened White Claw in his lap. They had to shake the car and yell at him to wake him up. Jacobs was visibly intoxicated as he admitted to consuming the White Claw in the vehicle. Jacobs was also unaware of when he had left Murfreesboro. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and provided a breath sample, resulting in 0.084% BAC. Jacobs was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, an open container violation, and underage alcohol consumption.
