Trevor Willis threatens Chick-Fil-A employees with gun for being closed, tells them “Don’t make me come in there!”

29-year-old Trevor Willis caused a disturbance at Chick-fil-A on Highway 70 South late July 13th. Officers were dispatched to the establishment following a robbery alarm. Officers were advised that an individual, later identified as Willis, was being disorderly and had a gun. Employees described him as a skinny black male in a silver vehicle with dark clothing. Then, responding officers located Willis and detained him for the occurrence. After this, the police spoke with Deion Bentley King, a Chick-fil-A employee, who stated that Willis pulled up to the drive-thru window to place an order. Willis was told his order could not be completed because they were closed, which upset him. Then, King explained that Willis started arguing, telling him, “Don’t make me come in there.” King said that Willis exited his vehicle, pulled his pants up, reached down his left pocket, and pulled out a gun that he immediately dropped, saying, “You got lucky,” before retrieving it. Then, King told Willis they would bring him his order. Despite this, Willis continued circling the business and pulling on the doors after employees locked them. Officers reviewed video footage from the location, corroborating King’s statements, and cited Willis for the incident. Willis was later booked on the citation of disorderly conduct on July 29th.

DUI: Brian Harris crashes his Ford F-150 into guardrail, tells police he “swerved to avoid an armadillo”

40-year-old Brian Edwin Harris crashed his silver Ford F-150 into the north-side metal guardrail along Poplar Creek Road around midnight on July 20th. When officers spoke with Harris, he told them he “swerved to avoid an armadillo” and that he did not need medical attention. During this, they discovered he had been arrested on March 30th, 2005, and convicted on July 19th, 2005, for driving under the influence. Officers observed him showing signs of impairment, so they prompted him with sobriety tests, to which he agreed and performed poorly. Then, Harris was Mirandized, and after being read implied consent, he refused to provide a chemical sample. After this, officers obtained a warrant for a blood sample and transported him to Nashville General Hospital for a blood draw. Harris was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Lusvin Monzon passes out drunk in his car at Rolling Hills Apartment Complex

29-year-old Lusvin Monzon was seen sleeping inside his car in the middle of the Rolling Hills apartment complex parking lot at 3 a.m. on July 14th. While officers attempted to wake him up, they observed open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle, one of which was empty. Field sobriety tests were administered, and Monzon showcased several signs of impairment. Officers read Monzon implied consent, but he denied it. Monzon was taken into custody and charged with implied consent violation, driving under the influence, and driving with an open container of alcohol.

Kenier Membreno found passed out drunk in his Honda Civic after having 3 beers

23-year-old Kenier Membreno was found passed out in his vehicle at a Media Street residence around 11 p.m. on May 26th. When officers arrived, they observed him sleeping in his Honda Civic with the keys in the driver’s seat. Membreno reeked of alcohol and had an open container on the passenger floorboard. While trying to obtain his information, he appeared disoriented as he provided officers with an identification card. Membreno consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, disregarded instructions, and, after being informed of implied consent, declined to give a chemical sample. He later admitted to having three beers. Membreno was taken into custody for driving under the influence, driving without a valid driver’s license, and an implied consent violation on May 27th.

Darly-Dreko Bostick forces himself into ex-boyfriend’s apartment, throws vase at him

20-year-old Darly-Dreko Bostick had an altercation with his ex-boyfriend, Laquez Dovonte Blivens, at his Old Hickory Boulevard apartment late May 16th. When officers arrived, they observed Blivens holding Bostick down on the ground. Then, due to Bostick’s lack of cooperation, officers detained him. Afterward, Bostick stated he had come to Blivens’s apartment with his friend and cousin, but they were trying to argue with Blivens. Bostick then told them to leave, attempting to de-escalate their dispute. Bostick said as he was trying to leave, Blivens stopped him and punched him in the mouth. Bostick advised that he went upstairs to the unit, trying to calm Blivens down, but he became combative and fought him.

Then, deputies spoke with Blivens, who stated that Bostick texted him saying he would come over, to which he told him not to. Bostick responded by telling him, “he was coming over,” and that he would open the door or “It would come open like their last altercation.” Blivens added that Bostick had a history of breaking into his apartment. Then, Blivens said that Bostick arrived with a group of individuals he did not know, so he told them to leave. Blivens advised that his brother came down from the unit after hearing a fight. Blivens then had to separate Bostick and his brother to prevent them from fighting. Blivens explained that Bostick tried to remove their Ring Camera from the door, but he would not let him. Blivens then attempted to shut the door on Bostick. While trying to shut the door, Bostick forced himself in, grabbed a flower vase, and threw it at Blivens. The vase hit Blivens, leaving minor bruises on his arm. Bostick was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for aggravated assault and vandalism on May 18th.

Zachary Webb punches girlfriend in mouth after being woken from sleep

28-year-old Zachary Webb had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Dash, and roommate, Emma Lovette, at their Percy Warner Boulevard residence in the early hours of May 13th. Webb spoke with officers, telling them that he came from work and went straight to bed, which was when Dash told him to get out of bed. After he refused, she punched him in the mouth, so he pushed her. Dash screamed for Lovette to help her, and he pushed her when she entered the room. Deputies spoke with Dash, who stated that she went to “discuss some issues” with Webb, during which he became argumentative and punched her, causing her bottom lip to bleed. Lovette confirmed coming to help after Dash screamed for her and added she did not remember how she got the knot on her forehead. Webb was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.

Seth Russell steals $1000 worth of merchandise from Craft Vapor

23-year-old Seth Russell broke into Craft Vapor on Highway 70 South in the early hours of May 8th. A concerned citizen observed this, alerted the authorities that Russell was stealing vapes, and provided them with a description of him. Then, when they arrived, they noticed Russell in the parking lot behind the location, holding two large bags as they approached. The bags were filled with several boxes of vapes, jars of THC, and around 25 packs of Delta-8 gummies, totaling about $1,000. Officers investigated the store and discovered all the glass displays were broken; some had missing items, and others were just damaged. Russell had a flashlight in his backpack with marks on the hilt. Russell was then taken into custody for burglary, vandalism, and theft.

Emily Riddle assaults boyfriend after accusing him of cheating

26-year-old Emily Anne Riddle had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Devin Greiger, at his Vaughns Gap Road apartment around 2 on May 3rd. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Greiger, who advised that Riddle had left in his navy blue Chevrolet pickup truck. Then, he stated Riddle had come over to his apartment, banging on the door, demanding to talk to him. He said when he opened the door, she started yelling at him, saying she knew he was cheating on her before going to his room, grabbing his phone, and searching through his text messages. She grabbed his iPad, threw it at him, hitting him and leaving a scratch, and then bit him. Greiger refused NFD medical treatment and told officers she had left right afterward but was unsure where she had gone. They tried to call her twice, but she did not answer. Riddle was taken into custody for aggravated assault on May 4th.

Overton High School Asst. Basketball Coach Kayesean Coverson jailed for kidnapping girlfriend

27-year-old Kayesean Coverson had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Alexis Streeter, at her apartment late February 10th. Officers were dispatched to Thornton’s Gas Station nearby regarding a kidnapping. Officers spoke with the complainant, Mikayla Marin, who advised them she heard her downstairs neighbor, Streeter, fighting with her boyfriend. Marin witnessed Coverson pull Streeter by the arms and push her into her car. Marin said Streeter was crying about not wanting to enter the vehicle as she held onto the door frame. She also stated that Coverson used both hands to force her into it before driving off to Thornton’s Gas Station. Officers started to search for Streeter and pinged her phone’s location to the Nashville West Shopping Center parking lot, where they found her vehicle unoccupied. Then, officers were flagged down by a bystander who advised them that Streeter was at Thornton’s. Officers located and brought Streeter back to her apartment, where she explained her situation. Streeter stated she and Coverson argued before he left, and then when Coverson returned, he grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer. Coverson held it in the air, yelling, “Happy Birthday,” and walked out again, so Streeter locked the door. Streeter explained that they argued over the phone for 30 minutes about Coverson trying to gain entry to the apartment before he left the scene. Then, Streeter said Marin came to check on her, which was when she told Marin to alert the authorities if she had seen Coverson or heard any commotion. Streeter had believed that her door was locked when Coverson returned and gained entry. Streeter said Coverson then rushed into the bedroom and pushed her onto the bed while stating, “Now you deserve to die.” Coverson punched Streeter in the jaw and temple area and continued to swing punches near her hip while Streeter tried to kick him off. Streeter said Coverson went outside again and was arguing with the neighbors when Marin tried to give Streeter her phone to speak with 911 operators, but Coverson grabbed it from her hand and hung up the call. Then, Coverson dragged Streeter into the car so they could leave before the officers arrived. Streeter said she told Coverson that she did not want to go with him but permitted him to use her car. However, Coverson refused and forced her into the car anyway. While in the car, Streeter told Coverson that she needed to use the restroom, so they pulled into Thornton’s Gas Station, where she waited and asked bystanders to call the police. Coverson then entered the store, demanding Streeter come with him, but she refused, and he left the scene. Coverson was taken into custody for interfering with a 911 call, kidnapping, and domestic assault on February 16th. Kayesean Coverson is an assistant basketball coach at John Overton High School and has been placed on administrative leave since his arrest.

Sam Bunch held hostage by man he crashed into and fled

24-year-old Sam Bunch was involved in a car accident on Murfreesboro Pike, near Rural Hill Road, where he hit Ayodele Adewui’s vehicle and fled without exchanging information on the night of January 13th. Officers were dispatched to Bell Road and Zelida Avenue, spoke with both parties and were advised that Bunch had taken off in his truck after colliding with Adewui. Adewui stated that he followed Bunch until he stopped due to traffic, entered his truck, and told him that he was staying inside the vehicle while holding his phone until the authorities arrived. Then, they pulled into a nearby parking lot. Bunch admitted to fleeing and being the at-fault driver. Officers noticed that Bunch’s license had suspended status when verifying his identification. Bunch was taken into custody for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license.
