East Nashville Mini Market: “Black people are what’s wrong with America”

Hello, East Nashville! Did we just go back a few decades? We heard from UPS Driver Ingland Tran, who stopped by the ‘Mini Market‘ convenience store at 726 McFerrin Ave, here in East Nashville yesterday – and certainly got more than he paid for. According to Ingland:

Today while delivering to 726 McFerrin Ave (gas station on the corner of West Eastland), I was in line to get some items. A gentlemen in front of me was telling me about working for UPS. The owner of the store gets mad at the gentlemen in front of me about not having enough money for his items. The owner then tells me, “Black people are what’s wrong with America.” I’m a little taken back, but I have to say I’m not shopping here/ nor my beautiful wife Maya Tran.

Wow – we’re still not sure if this was the owner of the small store, or a family member/employee. The description of the employee who spewed the hatefulness is described as “the older guy with short grey hair.” UPS Driver Ingland also told him that he was “done shopping here and delivering here. Good luck getting your lotto or any other UPS packages” and continued “I’ll make sure to send all his packages back to the sender.”

The most recent contact information we could locate for the Mini Market was a phone number of 615432-2241 and an email address of: willshro@aol.com – Per findthecompany.com, Mini Market is a small, fairly new convenience store in Nashville, Tennessee. It opened its doors in 2013 and now has an estimated $240,000 in yearly revenue and approximately 3 employees. We should also noteĀ  we found a vendor at the Nashville Farmer’s market that shares the same email address with the Mini Market:
