Woodbine icon Dairy King that survived 2010 flood becomes a COVID-19 casualty

Dairy King’s owner is hopeful for a buyer to keep the “icon of Woodbine” alive. Jeff and Carolyn Jones announced via Facebook that Dairy King on East Thompson Lane will close operations on August 3rd. The 50-year-old business has suffered since COVID-19 disrupted life in March.

MNPD Officer Decommissioned After Stealing a Bottle of Water

Central Precinct Officer Wesley Feinstein has been decommissioned and assigned to desk duty after taking a bottle of water from the refrigerator of a business while investigating what turned out to be a false burglar alarm. Feinstein, who graduated from the police academy two years ago, responded to the alarm call at Emma Incorporated on Lea Avenue at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Earlier this week, we showed you video of a Dodge Challenger speeding through a stop sign on Montgomery Ave in East Nashville. Late Friday evening the driver, Alexander Frazier (age 22), was arrested and charged with Agg Assault w/Deadly Weapon after a WKRN news crew was filming at the intersection when he drove by several times, speeding and once again not stopping, and intimidating the news crew and neighbors.
