ARRESTED: Woman steals guitar, pawns it using her own ID

41-year-old Keita Shondell Bennett remains jailed on a $8,000 bond, after police say she pushed in a window air conditioning unit, climbed through the window, and stole an Ovation electric guitar and Fender amp.

Metro Police say Keita Bennett climbed through a window of a Rose Street residence on April 9th, after she pushed in a window A/C unit. She took an Ovation electric guitar and Fender guitar amp, valued at a total of $960.00. A search of pawn shop records revealed at 1:12 p.m. the same day, Bennett pawned the two items at Music City Pawn, and received $330.00 for the items. She used her on TN driver’s license during the transaction.

Keita Bennett is charged with aggravated burglary, and an outstanding state citation for drug possession. She remains jailed in lieu of an $8,000 bond.
