Man held on ICE Detainer after admitting to sexual battery of girlfriend’s 11-year-old daughter

29-year-old Samuel Xala Polito had admitted to Metro Nashville Police that he sexually assaulted his girlfriend’s 11-year-old daughter on at least two occasions in September. He is held on an $80,000 bond and a federal ICE Detainer.

The 11-year-old female victim lives with her mother, who has been dating Samual Polito for approximately two years. She reported that on at least two occasions last month Polito entered her bedroom and touched her on her breasts and buttocks. During an interview with detectives on October 22nd, Polito admitted to detectives that he touched the child on her breasts and buttocks for sexual arousal.

Polito was charged with two felony counts of aggravated sexual battery on a child less than 13. Previously in Nashville, Polito was charged with felony aggravated burglary in 2013, however, the charges were dismissed by the District Attorney when the victim refused to assist in the prosecution. In 2015, Judge Melissa Blackburn dismissed two more charges for Polito, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
