24-year-old Kendarias Lyles was charged with two counts of felony drug offense, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and domestic assault after police conducted a “knock and talk” at Goodlettsville Rodeway Inn.
On March 4th, while responding to an unrelated call at the Rodeway Inn on Wade Circle, officers were alerted by the distinct scent of marijuana wafting from Room 114. Officers performed a knock and talk and were met by Kendarias Lyles and another person occupying the room. At their behest, Kendarias, who was renting the room, consented to a search. During the search, officers discovered 116 alprazolam pills, 6.3 grams of marijuana, a digital scale. Due to the fact that the marijuana had been divided into separate baggies and officers found cash in numerous lesser denominations and a prepaid cell phone, Kendarias was suspected of selling drugs.
Kendarias then authorized a search of his cell phone upon officer request that uncovered text threads suggesting the sale of the above-mentioned substances.
The domestic assault charge stems from a previous incident on January 3rd of this year. That complaint originated at 233 Maple Street in Madison. Ymesha Brown, Kendarias’ girlfriend at the time, accused him of punching her multiple times in the head during an argument in her vehicle before yelling that he would “beat her ass” again. He then fled the scene in another vehicle.
Kendarias Lyles was arrested and charged with two counts Felony Drug Offense, Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia and Domestic Assault. He has been released on a $36,000 bond.
