Impaired Hermitage neighbor pulls gun, says: “I will shoot you”

32-year-old Markeshia Dillard was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possessing a weapon while intoxicated after pulling a gun on and threatening to kill her neighbor.

On May 28th, Officer Jarrett Ipox responded to a call at 1005 Forest Ridge Court. There, Crystal Strader told the officer that Markeshia Dillard suddenly got mad at her, pulled a gun, said, “I will shoot you” and started beating on her door.

Strader locked the door on Dillard, but she continued to beat on the door and then her windows. Strader said she was fearful of Dillard seriously injuring her. Dillard was taken to booking where she began talking to the officer. She admitted the gun she pulled on Strader was her gun. And, she told the officer she had been drinking. Dillard had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol.

Markeshia Dillard was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a handgun under the influence. Her bond was set at $26,500.
