29-year-old Charles Holt was charged with aggravated assault and domestic assault after fighting with a woman while her baby was in the car, and then going to her house and strangling her.
On June 3rd, 2019, Charles Holt was picked up from Haynes Neighborhood by Sasha Komisar with her 5-month-old daughter in the back seat. While she was driving they got into an altercation regarding Holt throwing her CDs and going through her wallet. Holt got angry and slapped her with an open hand. Sasha stopped the vehicle and asked him to get out. At first, Holt was refusing but did end up cooperating. Sasha stated he exited the vehicle somewhere on Whites Creek Pike.
She returned home so that she could change her daughter’s diaper. While there, Sasha heard several loud knocks on the door and opened it thinking it was the police, but it was Holt. He immediately grabbed Sasha by her hair with his right hand and used his left to strangle her. Holt then left and Sasha went to the precinct for assistance. She reported the strangulation deepened her voice, made it crackle, and feel like she is losing her voice.
On August 31st, Charles Holt was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and domestic assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $12,500 bond.
