31-year-old Frederick Rivas was charged with domestic assault after headbutting his roommate over an argument about money that was owed to him.
On October 6th, Jose Orellana claimed Frederick Rivas owed him money for vehicles he had previously worked on. The roommates got into a verbal altercation in which Jose admitted he got in front of Frederick’s vehicle demanding the money he was owed.
Frederick proceeded to exit his vehicle and headbutted Jose in the nose causing visible injury. After the police took photos of the injuries, Medic 21 arrived and treated Jose. While Frederick claimed Jose initiated the dispute by shoving him and that he was defending himself, he was still determined to be the primary aggressor.
Frederick Rivas was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. He was freed on a $1,500 bond.
