29-year-old Carlos Blas-Morales is charged with the Thanksgiving aggravated assault with a deadly weapon of his roommate after the pair argued over dirty dishes on the stove just before 10 a.m. A witness says Blas-Morales grabbed a pair of scissors, which escalated the verbal argument. He reportedly approached his roommate while holding the scissors in a threatening and pointing manner saying “we can do whatever you want”. Blas-Morales remains jailed in lieu of a $3,000 bond.
ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT:
On 11/25/2021 at 0954 hours officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance located at 3853 Andrew Jackson Way. The victim, Carlos Ramirez, and the defendant, Carlos Blas-Morales, are currently roommates. The victim stated he and the defendant were talking about dirty dishes on the stove.
The victim stated he and the defendant were engaged in a verbal argument. The victim stated the defendant picked up a pair of scissors in the living room and walked towards where he was standing in the kitchen. The victim stated the defendant was holding the scissors and threatening him and stated that they can do whatever the victim wanted.
The victim stated when the defendant was holding the scissors, pointing them at him, and threatening him with them that he was in fear of serious bodily harm and for his safety. The witness, Maria Fernanda-Fuentes stated she observed the defendant grab the scissors and threaten the victim. Maria stated the defendant grabbed the scissors and used a weapon and escalated the incident.
