Around Noon on September 28th, Trooper Meite initiated a traffic stop on I-24 when he observed a silver Ford pickup truck hauling a long white van Trailer without a carrier and USDOT number. Trooper Meite approached the driver’s side and observed the 36-year-old Tamazi Pachulia. Pachulia was asked to provide his driver’s license, registration, insurance, and medical card but could not provide registration of the truck. He told Trooper Meite that he rented the vehicle 3-6 months ago and did not have a rental agreement nor registration. Trooper Meite ran the tag and VIN number of the truck, which came back as a stolen vehicle. Pachulia was informed about the truck being stolen before being placed under arrest for being in possession of a stolen vehicle worth more than $20,000.
Tamazi Pachulia of Hillsgrove Road in West Forest, NC, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on September 28th, charged with theft. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $10,000.
