30-year-old Jonathan Murray was driving the wrong way on Robinson Road toward Madison in the early hours of December 10th. A citizen noticed this, stopped Murray, and removed him from the vehicle to sit on the grass as he called the ambulance. Murray’s car had damage to the bumper and a flat tire. Medics arrived and placed him in the back of the ambulance, where officers noticed him to be visibly intoxicated. They questioned him as he admitted to driving from a hotel in the gulch and having two shots of alcohol. Officers located a nearly empty drink can in Murray’s cupholder and a six-pack of Heineken with three beers left in the backseat. Murray was transported to the hospital and medically cleared in less than thirty minutes. He refused to take sobriety tests and was read implied consent. Murray was taken into custody for driving under the influence, open container violation, and implied consent.
