26-year-old Fernando Lopez had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Fiorella Cordova, at their Greenbriar Apartment on Franklin Pike late April 13th. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Lopez, who advised he and Cordova had a heated argument when he returned home. Lopez stated the argument occurred because Cordova was upstairs talking with their neighbors, whom he did not approve of. He added that there were no threats or violence, and he only called because she refused to leave the residence.

When officers spoke with Cordova, she stated Lopez was intoxicated when he got home and became upset when he saw her talking with the neighbors. Cordova said he remained in his car, parked outside for a while, and did not enter the apartment until she did. Once inside, Lopez started insulting her, grabbed her by the hair, threw her to the ground, pinned her down, and punched her in the ribs. Cordova said she did not fight him but pushed him to get him off her. Officers observed that Cordova had a red scrape on her elbow and a bruise on the inner part of her shin. Lopez was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 14th.
