Deshane Chastain was arrested in Nashville on Sunday or a failure to be booked state citation, from an August 2nd incident where he exposed himself inside the Madison Target store. Since that original citation, Chastain has since been arrested again for pulling up in front of Solarium Tan & Spa on Conference Drive, where he got out of his vehicle and began staring at the employee through the all-glass store front. He then pulled down his shorts, and exposed his goods to the employee. As the employee came outside to confront Deshane Chastain about his penis being outside his shorts and in her full view, he decided to get back into his vehicle and flee the scene. The Solarium Tan employee was able to get the tag number of his vehicle for police. It turns out this wasn’t the first or even the second time he had exposed himself to employees at this location, but the THIRD time he had pulled out his ‘package for delivery’ at just this location, and every time it was met with a ‘return to sender’. Chastain was located several days later and taken to CID for formal interview, at which time he waived Miranda rights, and admitted exposing himself. When asked why he exposed himself the defendant advised “the thrill of it I guess”. Despite running his license plate tag number to confirm his identity, and him driving to/from the crime, MNPD Officers apparently did not run his actual driver’s license – because it is currently revoked in the state of TN.
a white male subject pulled up in the front of the Solarium Tan and Spa located at 900 Conference Drive in Goodlettsville, TN. The male subject then exited his vehicle and then began staring at the victim. The male subject then pulled down his shorts and exposed his private parts to the victim. As the victim exited the business to confront the suspect, he reentered his vehicle and fled the scene. The victim was able to provide police with the tag number of the vehicle. I was assigned this case on 8-12-17 for further investigation. I was able to develop the defendant as the suspect in this case from the physical description provided by the victim and that the defendant was the registered owner of the vehicle that had fled the scene. On 8-17-17 I located the defendant at Econoline Paint on Myatt Drive and then escorted him back to Goodlettsville CID for a formal interview. After waiving his Miranda rights, the defendant admitted exposing himself on the day in question. The defendant also admitted to two other incidents at the same location involving other employees. When asked why he exposed himself the defendant advised “the thrill of it I guess”. I spoke with the victim later on that day and she advised that she would assist in prosecution if the suspect was identified. A search of the defendant through Metro Records revealed another pending charge of indecent exposure from 08-02-17 where the defendant was found exposing himself at a Target in Madison. The above incident did occur inside Davidson County, TN. GOPD 17-25234
Chastain is scheduled to appear in court on 09/15 on the second charge, and will have a review hearing on Tuesday for bond. He is currently being held on a $2K total bond, $1K per current indecent charge.
In addition to Nashville charges, he current has several open and closed cases in Sumner County.
