Man attempts to stiff cabbie on $30 fare, police intercept him fleeing

32-year-old Jon Alti Juliusson was intercepted by Metro Police as he attempted to flee from a $30 cab fare in downtown Nashville.

A cab driver flagged down Metro Nashville Police officers in the early hours of Friday morning near Central Precinct downtown, stating Jon Alti Juliusson was fleeing without paying his $30 cab fare. Officers intercepted Juliusson as he was attempting to flee, and he then decided to pay the driver.

While interacting with Juliusson, police noted he had bloodshot and watery eyes, slurred speech, and an odor of alcohol about himself. Due to his actions and those observations, he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication. Officer note he was ‘very uncooperative’ when he arrived at booking.
